Profile
Founded in the late 1950’s by an entrepreneur and inventor, Al Liguori, National Pen started as a humble tool and dye company in the Bronx, New York. Its founder, a machinist by trade, made some of the first ball point pens ever produced in the United States. His innovative designs were sought after by leaders in the writing instrument industry and soon the company was manufacturing pens to the Advertising Specialty Trade.
In 1966 the business was renamed National Pen Company, and with this change came added emphasis in marketing and manufacturing. National Pen attributes its success to its unrelenting commitment to quality and the ability to market innovative products direct to consumers through the direct marketing channel and via the internet. Targeting small to medium size businesses, National Pen has built a successful and scalable business that continues to grow.
